Csokonyavisontai Gyógy- és Strandfürdő is one of the best-known medicinal baths of Southern Transdanubia, located in the village of Csokonyavisonta, Somogy County.
Its exceptionally strong alkaline bicarbonate medicinal thermal water was discovered in 1943 and emerges at approximately 73°C from a depth of around 1,000 meters. The water is certified as medicinal and is recommended primarily for rheumatic, arthritic, and musculoskeletal conditions.
The spa complex includes several medicinal pools, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, leisure pools, and children’s pools. A wellness section offers saunas, massages, and salt therapy, while the medical department provides balneotherapy, mud treatments, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy under medical supervision.
The outdoor strand area is popular during the summer months, featuring green lawns, slides, and play areas. Visitors also value the calm rural setting, which makes the bath a relaxing alternative to more crowded resort spas.
