Berekfürdői Gyógy- és Strandfürdő is one of Hungary’s most prominent medicinal bath complexes, located in the Great Plain village of Berekfürdő.
The bath is famous for its strong alkaline bicarbonate medicinal thermal water, discovered in 1927, which emerges at approximately 56°C from a depth of nearly 1,300 meters. The water is certified for therapeutic use and is widely applied in the treatment of musculoskeletal, rheumatic, and certain gynecological conditions.
The spa complex includes twelve pools, featuring indoor and outdoor thermal sitting pools, swimming pools, leisure and adventure pools, children’s pools, and seasonal attractions. Its extensive wellness and medical departments offer balneotherapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, mud therapy, and supervised cure packages.
With its combination of powerful medicinal water, recreation, and hospitality services, Berekfürdői Gyógy- és Strandfürdő is considered a flagship spa resort of Hungary, attracting both domestic and international visitors.
