Bükkszékfürdő Gyógy- és Strandfürdő is a medicinal and recreational bath located in the village of Bükkszék, in Heves County. The bath is internationally known for its unique Salvus medicinal water, discovered in 1938.
Salvus water is rich in bicarbonates, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements, and is unique in Hungary for its strength and versatility. It is used both for therapeutic bathing and for drinking cures, recommended for digestive, respiratory, and musculoskeletal conditions.
The bath complex includes indoor and outdoor thermal pools, swimming pools, children’s pools, and wellness services such as saunas, massages, and hydrotherapy. A dedicated drinking hall allows visitors to participate in drinking cures under proper guidance.
Bükkszékfürdő combines the functions of a medical spa and a family-friendly recreational bath, making it a key destination for health tourism in northern Hungary.
